Coordinating Office of the Novartis Community Partnership Day
In 1997, on the first anniversary of the day when shareholders approved the merger of CIBA and SANDOZ, the company’s management initiated Community Partnership Day. On this day, Novartis employees worldwide are free to volunteer for work in their local community. In the Basel region, around 3000 employees are regularly engaged in a wide variety of assignments on Community Partnership Day.
As a member of the Novartis Coordinating Office for the Basel and Rhine Valley sites we have played a part in helping to establish the organization of this day. Since 1999, the fardel organisation has been responsible for its implementation in the Basel region and in Rotkreuz.
Since then, we have had the privilege of providing other companies from the pharma sector and also from other industries with support and assistance in their corporate volunteering activities.
The constructive collaboration with our partner base of around 300 social institutions throughout Switzerland, which carefully initiate and prepare the projects for such events, is indispensable for the smooth running of these activities.
